Lisa Peppan washed dishes at Derby Reach Park on
Saturday. Peppan was re-enacting Mary Huston, a composite
character of the Metis women of the fur-trade era of the late 1850s
and early 1860s. Co-sponsored by the GVRD, Parks Canada, and
Langley Township, "Passport to the Past" was an afternoon event that
celebrated Fort Langley's History as the birthplace of B.C. It
featured displays, games, crafts, and a walk along the Fort-to-Fort
Trail. |
