Little is known of
Sapper Armstrong.
We have a
record that he prepared maps at the RE Survey Office under the command of
Captain Parsons and we have a notation by Woodward from Cope's thesis that
states that Sapper Robert Armstrong died on Duty.
From the file from
the BC Archives, it would appear that Sapper Armstrong died some time
after 1861.
